She may have been living elsewhere as her son Alvin died in 1901 and his wife Mary Jane Rine had remarried to Adam Breitweiser and this family appears to have been living in the Rine family home.

1912. Both parcels of land purchased by John in 1873 and 1874 were sold. Since both John and his son Alvin were deceased, the proceeds were divided between Alvin's widowed Mary Jane and Alvin's children: No mention was made of Rachel, which indicated she was also deceased. The deed index at the County Recorders Office indicated "Jno W Rhine" as the grantor indicating the land had not been transferred after his death in 1898.
