1901. Amy Sherman married John Becker and reportedly lived on the Becker homestead farm in Bengal Twp. Another report, from their daughter-in-law, indicated John had previously bought an 80 acre farm which they lived on.
1938. John and Amy built a new house across the road and lived the rest of their life there.
1950. Jul 7th, John Becker died and buried in Mount Rest Cemetery in St Johns MI.

Theda and John Lawrence Becker lived across the road in Essex Twp from the Becker homestead farm in Bengal Twp. After the children were born John Lawrence & Theda built a house across the road. John died in 1966. Theda Redman married 2nd a man named Wing. James and Gerald Becker and their mother Theda Redman (Becker) (Wing). Note. These next three children are very unique as they have two grandmothers who were born with the Sherman name: The fraternal grandmother Amy Sherman (Becker) and the maternal grandmother Mary Sherman (Redman). They also have two great-grandparents named Sherman: Samuel & Helen Sherman and Calvin Henry and Jennie Sherman. 1. James Gary Becker (17) 2. Gerald Lawrence Becker (17) 3. Linda married in c1904 to Myron Huston Kniffin, husband probably called "Hugh". 7. Elsie Sherman (15) (Donner) born Jul 1886 in MI, also shown as "Alcey". In 1910 she lived with her brother Horace. Married Frank Donner, lived in Detroit MI and had no children. Both deceased.
