1907. Apr 1st, Rufus and Elnora purchased 76.5 acres in Venice Township, irregular E 1/2 of SE 1/4 in Section 23; sold Jul 12 1919 to their son Howard & Estella Martin.
1912. Retired and purchased a home in the village of Caroline OH, in Venice Township Seneca County OH.
1916. Mar 27th, Rufus & Elnora purchased 80 acres in Venice Township Seneca County OH, W 1/2 of SW 1/4 of Section 24; sold Apr 1 1929.
1936. Jul 4th, Rufus died, buried in Attica-Venice Cemetery in Attica OH.
1939. Dec 29th, Elnora died, buried in the Attica-Venice Cemetery.

Married Jan 18 1911 to Estella Fike, and lived in Attica OH. Bought a farm near the homestead and remained there until retirement. In 1955 he lived in the home in Caroline OH his father had previously bought. Estella died Mar 25 1957 and Howard died Mar 13 1975: Both buried in Attica-Venice Cemetery in Attica OH. 1. Mildred Lucile Martin (16) (Ohl) born May 16 1912 in Attica OH in Seneca County. Married Dec 6 1936 to William C Ohl, who was born Sep 21 1913 in Lisbon OH in Columbiana County. William was a carpenter for 35 years and retired in 1978. He served as Mayor of Attica 1972-1976; Attic Village Council; Attica Board of Public Affairs; and Democratic Party Central Committee for Seneca County OH. William died Oct 19 1990 and Mildred died Sep 6 1997, and both are buried in Attica-Venice Cemetery at Attica OH. 1. Robert Wayne Schaaf (16) born Oct 9 1913 in Seneca County OH. Married Carrie Ruth Hall her parents Lewis Hall and Maun Alberta Gantz. Robert's primary occupation was a farmer, but he found time to serve as a trustee for Venice Township Seneca County OH for 20 years, and drove school bus at Seneca East for 20 years.
