1911. Murphy Lake: On Wednesday of last week eight or ten ladies of the vicinity went to Mrs Harvey Sherman's by surprise and quilted a quilt and served a very nice dinner and some stayed for supper. A few men did not forget Mr Sherman and came in for a chat. A good time was enjoyed by all.

1935. Harvey Sherman owned 80 acres in Watertown Twp, 1½ story, 7 room house built in 1909, wood frame siding, fair condition. A 50' x 36' x 16' barn built 1909, lighting rods, good condition.
1938. Harvey Sherman died 8 Aug, he is buried in old Watertown Cemetery beside his wife.

Alick J Sherman (16) born Oct 1885 in Watertown Twp, lived at home age 14, He ran away from home as a teenager with his brother Angus, he never contacted his family again. Reportedly he work at an oil refinery in CA, and killed in an accident there. Reportedly he was married and had three children, he probably died prior to Mar 1951. 2. August W Sherman (16) born 12 Mar 1887 in Watertown Twp, called "Angus" he lived at home at age 13, he ran away from home with his brother Alick as a teenager, he returned once and visited his brother Nelson, then was never seen or heard from again. Reportedly lived in CA in 1951. 3. David Sherman (16) born 20 Apr 1892 in Watertown Twp, died of croup on 14 Feb 1893. 4. Millie Sherman (16) born 1892 in Watertown Twp, died 1894 5. Nellie Sherman (16) (twin) born 14 Feb 1894 in Watertown Twp, died 1894. 6. Nelson Riley Sherman (16) (twin) 1892-1951 7. Grace A Sherman (16) 1895-1963 8. Gertrude E Sherman (16) born 2 Oct 1898 in Watertown, Tuscola County MI, married Paul Christian Leix on 24 Dec 1918 in Watertown, divorced, married Gilbert Arthur (Art) Robertson circa 1930. She was a teacher, she died 24 April 1984 in Columbia, Maryland. She was living with her son Gary who was a Major in the Army working at the Pentagon, she traveled with him as he moved around with the Army.
