James M Jeffreys (2) 1850-19341850. July, James M Jeffreys born in NJ or NY, father in NJ & mother in Ireland (1900 & 1910 Censuses). Parents were Richard Jeffreys and Ann Moran (mc/mec). In 1900 both his mother Ann Jeffrey a widow age 74 (p138/d61/f64) and his brother John Jeffreys age 41 (p186/d8/f9) lived in Pinckney. Ann Jeffreys was not found in 1910, although the family she lived with 10 years before was found (p318/d76/f79), but John Jeffreys was found (p318/d62/f64). John Jeffreys died Feb 7 1936 and is buried at St Mary's Cemetery in Pinckney MI (mc/smc).

c1885. Bridget married James M Jeffreys, probably in Pinckney. Her father Thomas lived with them. Reportedly they lived on a farm a few miles S of Pinckney.

1917. Jul 5th, Obituary. Miss Bridget Culhane was born in Stratford ON Canada in 1850. Left motherless at age five, her early life was partly spent in the home of strangers. In 1812 [probably 1872] she came to live with a married sister at Port Huron MI and later going to Detroit where she spent a number of years. She came with her brothers in 1883 and in 1885 was married to James M Jeffries of this place where she has made her home. She was the mother of four children, three of whom survive her. She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband and three children, Mary of this place, Richard of Ann Arbor, and Mrs William Devine Jr of Dexter. Also two sisters and two brothers. Mrs Catherine Sprague of Jacksonville FL and Mrs Benjamin Walker of Detroit, Robert Culhane of Pinckney and James Culhane of Jackson, besides other relatives and friends. She was a good and faithful wife and mother. (Pinckney Dispatch).

1934. Aug 8th, Obituary. James Jeffreys, a former resident of Pinckney died at an Ann Arbor hospital Aug 3, following a long illness. He was 84 years 8 months 9 days old. The son of the late Richard and Ann Moran Jeffreys of Pinckney and was born here where he spent the greater part of his life. He married Bridget Culhane and four children were born to this union, one dying in infancy and Mary the eldest, several months ago. Following the occupation of farming, he was a tenant on the Hugh Clark and Will Dunning farms and several others. His wife passed away about 20 years ago and following this he continued to work on farms in this section until advancing years forced his retirement. For a while he lived with his daughter, Mrs Rose Divine in Jackson, but a number of years he has made his home with his son Richard Jeffreys in Ann Arbor. Besides his son and daughter, he is survived by several grandchildren, two brothers, John Jeffreys of Pinckney and Edward Jeffreys of Detroit and a sister, Sister Veronica of Monroe. Funeral held from St Marys Church in Pinckney, Saturday Rev Lewis Dion officiating. Burial was beside his wife in St Marys cemetery. (Pinckney Dispatch).

Richard lived in Ann Arbor in 1934 (father's obituary). Richard died Feb 8 1939. c1978 Florence lived in Ann Arbor MI. 3. Rose Anna Jeffreys (3) born Feb 5 1896.
