1868. Sep 5th, Margaret Culhane married Michael "Mack" Manley at St Vincent dePaul's Catholic Church in Detroit MI. Michael born c1832 of Michael Manley and Catherine Kenny, Michael and parents born Co Limerick Ireland.

1869. Dec 3rd, Michael bought lots 13 & 14 block 140 White's plot in Port Huron for $600.00.

Census of 4th Ward of Port Huron (City) St Clair Co MI indicated: Michael Manley age 46, teaming, he & parents born in Ireland; Margaret Manley age 36, keeping house, born in Canada & parents in Ireland; Mac Manley age 5, born in MI; John Manley age 29, brother, teacher, he & parents born in Ireland (p385/d134/f140).

1880/93. Michael's brother John immigrated from Ireland in 1880 and lived with them until 1893 when he moved to the Allen House Hotel.

1883. Michael was a drayman in Port Huron (DIR).

1884. Census of Port Huron MI in St Clair Co indicated: Michael Manley age 52; Margaret Manley age 40; John Manley age 29, boarder [Michael's brother]; Michael Manley age 9.

1885. Michael was a teamster in Port Huron (DIR).

1878/88. Michael was a drayman in Port Huron (Dir).

1894. Census of Port Huron MI St Clair Co indicated: Michael Manley age 60, drayman, 3 months unemployed; Margaret age 49; Michael Manley Jr age 18, hotel clerk.

1897. Sep 14th, Michael Manley died and buried Sep 16 1897 in Mt Hope Catholic Cemetery Lot 30 S 1/2 Ward H in Port Huron.

1900. Census of Detroit MI in Wayne Co indicated Margaret Manley age 55 was a widow boarding at Mary Ann Culhane (Walker's) home [her sister].

1900/10. The Manleys had aways given food, clothing and toys to the children of a poor neighbor family, whos husband was a drunkard. Later one of the sons who owned a coal yard reciprocated buy keeping Margaret's coal bin full of coal, at no charge (JMC).

1910. Census of Port Huron indicated Margueretta Manley age 68, widow, lived on own income, owned house with mortgage, can read & write.

1911. Mar 28th, John Manley age 72 single died in Wales Twp St Clair Co MI from blood poisoning.

1916. Oct 4th, Margaret Culhane (Manley) died at her home in Port Huron of uremic poisoning. Buried Oct 6 1916 in Mt Hope Catholic Cemetery Lot 30 S 1/2 Ward H in Port Huron. (TC; OTC p35; LSL p7g).

1916. Oct 4th plus, Obituary. Margaret Manley died at her residence, 1103 Howard street Wednesday noon aged 72 years. She was a resident of Port Huron for over 40 years. Surviving her are three sisters and two brothers. Mrs Benjamin Walker, Detroit; Mrs G Sprague, Cresent City FL; Mrs James Jeffries, Robert and James Culhane, Pinckney MI. Funeral will be held St Stephens Church Friday morning at 7:30. Interment in Mt Hope Cemetery. (Port Huron newspaper).

1988. There are no headstones on the Manley's lot (compiler). Cemetery records indicated no one but Michael and Margaret Manley are buried in their lot in Mt Hope Cemetery.
