Hannah L. Sherman
1863 - 1936Be it remembered, that I Hannah L. Sherman of the village of Mayville in the County of Tuscola and State of Michigan, being of sound mind and memory, but knowing of the uncertainties of this life, do hereby make, execute and declare this to be My Last Will and Testament, in manner following:
First, I will and direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid in full.
Second, I give, devise and bequeath to my daughter Maude H. Butler of Mayville, Michigan the sum of One Thousand two Hundred ($1,200.00) Dollars.
Third, I give, devise and bequeath to my daughter Mildred E. Cox of Flint, Michigan the sum of One Thousand Two Hundred ($1,200.00) Dollars.
Fourth, I give, devise and bequeath to my son Earl W. Sherman of Detroit, Michigan the sum of One Thousand Two Hundred ($1,200.00).
Fifth, All the rest, residue and remainer of my estate, be the same real, personal or mixed, wherever situated, I give, devise and bequeath to my four children, Grant D. Sherman of Grand Blanc, Michigan; Maude H. Butler of Mayville, Michigan; Mildred E. Cox of Flint, Michigan and Earl W. Sherman of Detroit, Michigan to be equally divided between them, share and share alike.
Sixth, I have bequeated less to my son Grant D. Sherman than to my other children for the reason that I consider that he received more from his fathers estate than the other children received, and I feel that in the distribution of my estate, I have been fair with all my children.13 Aug 1934, Hannah L Sherman (signed)
