Alden Sherman
1802 - 1881Be it remembered that I Alden Sherman farmer of Township of Watertown County of Tuscola and State of Michigan Esquire, do make this my last will and testament in following manner. That is to say - I order and direct that all my just debts shall be paid with convenient speed.
To my wife Mary Ann Sherman her heirs & assigns I give devise and bequeath all my estate and property real and personal namely my farm on which I live in the Town County & State afforesaid, all my farming implements household furniture horses sheep cattle and hogs and also all debts due me from all sources whatsoever, except the two debt below mentioned.
Be it also remembered that I do not forget my children and relatives but of my own considerate intention will them nothing except Margaret Sherman my sons widdow whome I give ninety dollars owed by my son Elihu to my estate and Harvey Sherman my grandson whome I give fifty dollars ($50.00) owed my estate by Wm Sherman my son. I also will my child oldest daughter Martha Aeby $150.00.
I appoint Mary Ann Sherman my wife and William Wilsey farmer of Town County State afforesaid of this my will.
In witness whereof I have signed and sealed and published and declared this instrument as my will at Watertown on the 15th day of Aprill A.D. 1878.
Alden Sherman (his mark) The said Alden Sherman at said Township of Watertown County and State afforesaid on said 15th day of April 1878 signed and sealed this instrument and published and declared the same as and for his last will.
